The suet feeder kept falling off its holder because the handle wouldn’t stay secured (mostly because the squirrels kept jumping on it). So I “classied” it up by securing it with a lock-tie. 🙂 The birds, like this small woodpecker, appreciate being able to snack!

This is not supposed to be a squirrel feeder, but inevitably it becomes one. I can’t blame them, of course. It’s winter, it’s cold, and food is in short supply. So rather than fight against the invaders, this year we’re deploying more bird feeders and more bird seed. If the squirrels are content with feeding from one (and if we keep it filled), perhaps they’ll leave the others alone.
