The crocus plants in the front are slowly making their way up out of the soil. Can’t wait for the flowers. 🙂

hello March!

While I’ve seen flies and at least one bee (or bee-mimic fly) buzzing around, this is the first insect that has sat still long enough for me to be photographed.
see that?!

One of Lily’s favorite phrases is “See that?!” Like when she does something she things is cool, or if she sees something that is funny or unexpected, or, in this case, the wind was blowing at like 25 mph and her hair was going crazy. See That?!

Nate and I went out shooting in the back yard when it was unseasonably warm this past Sunday.
two benches

Pingree Road Metra Station, Crystal Lake. Evening after my train dropped me off, I had a few minutes before Heather picked me up. I was struck by the blueness of the sky with the last of the light and the colors of the artificial lights on the station platform, in addition to the two benches, one disturbed and one left alone. It’s a shame the camera front-focused (or perhaps I focus-and-recomposed). Oh well.
